Emma Le Konrad is a Minneapolis, MN based ceramicist. Emma graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2020 with a BFA in Drawing and Painting and a minor in Teaching Artistry. Emma has worked as a full time ceramicist since May 2025 and spent the years before that building up her work’s aesthetic and direction while working various jobs in the ceramic world.

Emma’s work is strongly inspired by Scandinavian design and its impact on the American mid-century and retro design movements. A core principle of Scandinavian design is functionality, something emphasized in Konrad’s pieces.

All work is thrown on a potter’s wheel. Each piece is hand drawn and hand painted with a wax resist to create the graphic and bold patterns that appear after glazing and firing.

Emma has a studio space in the 2010 Artblok building in Northeast, Minneapolis. There, she has a workspace and gallery and she loves showing it to new people. Feel free to reach out via the contact form.
